braindump of William J. Moner on how to educate the modern designer

Mr. Moner, the guy in the blue-with-diamonds sweater from the Background is Bullshit open space talk used to work at The Art Institute. Consider the business of the web, searchability, marketing, analytics, social media... He suggests we need to embrace the liberal arts in technology. We need history, sociology, political science, psychology, languages, literature, composition, and cultural studies. More modern: UX/UI is important as is information architecture. Teach someone geolocation and typography. The challenge to the audience: what courses should you have taken more seriously in school?
