brain dump of "taking the image editor offline" at HTML5.tx
LocalStorage API is basically supercookies. It is everything that cookies was supposed to be: session storage, LocalStorage API had polyfills down to IE 5.5. You can only save JSON compatible objects. I don't know who the speaker is. SessionStorage is going to act just like a cookie. When you refresh the page you keep SessionStorage while closing the browser sabotages it. browserity-fs is a Polyfill in the speakers code for the filesystem. localStorage acts as a max age cookie. Lawnchair.js has polyfills for Silverlight! I think Bradley Meck might have been the speaker.
