SharePoint 2010 navigation stuff

    To delete a list in a sharepoint site while administering it:
  1. at upper right of content, go to: NAMEOFYOURSHAREPOINTSITE > All Items > Modify This View
  2. at upper right of content, go to: NAMEOFYOURSHAREPOINTSITE > List Settings
  3. click "Delete this list" under Permissions and Management
    To get a deleted list back out of the Recycle Bin
  1. go to: Site Actions > View All Site Content
  2. click on "Recycle Bin"
  3. check an item to retore and then click "Restore Selection"
    Restore a list saved from the Recycle Bin to the navigation
  1. go to: Site Actions > Site Settings
  2. go to: "Navigation" under "Look and Feel"
  3. click on "Current Navigation" beneath "Navigation Editing and Sorting" to add an item to the sidenav, and then click "Add Link..."
  4. the "Navigation Link" webpage dialog box will appear. Click the "Browse..." button by the URL field to find the list in question.
  5. the "Select an Asset" webpage dialog box will appear. Pick your list here.
  6. back at the "Navigation Link" webpage dialog box, give a title and then click "OK"
  7. click "OK" again back at the "Navigation Settings"
    To then move your list upwards within the side nav from the bottommost position
  1. go to: Site Actions > Site Settings
  2. go to: "Navigation" under "Look and Feel"
  3. click on your list beneath "Current Navigation" beneath "Navigation Editing and Sorting"
  4. then click "Move Up" (and also "Move Down") as appropriate until the list ends up where you would like it to be
