It's not a code, it's an enum.

It's sort of obvious what integer parameters for "Dollars" and "Seconds" are for, but what about integer parameters that seem to decry a classification? An integer parameter on a DTO object may not be as cryptic as you might suspect. The BarType parameter on Foo may not be an old school look-to-the-reference-manual key, it may be an enum key.
