These are also called logic (smart) components and presentation (dumb) components or alternatively container (smart) components and presentation (dumb) components. The dumb components take in inputs from a smart component which is the outermost Russian doll around dumb components and talk back up EventEmitters, but they do not interact with services themselves or a Redux store. Instead it is the smart component that talks in and out with the world at large. The chain down through numerous inputs or up through numerous EventEmitters may be several levels deep.
