Set local IPs for DNS Servers in Windows 7

  1. right click on the "bars" icon on the start bar by the clocks and pick "Open Network and Sharing Center"
  2. click the "Local Area connection" link
  3. in the "Local Area Connection Status" dialog box click the "Properties" button
  4. uncheck "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)"
  5. select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)"
  6. click the "Properties" button
  7. click the radio button for "Use the following DNS server addresses:"
  8. type in the addresses
  9. at a command prompt type: ipconfig /flushdns
