Mark Halpin gave the last talk I saw at AngularMix and it was on Electron.

Alright, Electron is not simple. There is a lot of custom Electron code to write to get it spiffy and that is disappointing in the same way writing custom code for Xamarin is, you know? Electron Forge Templates can help you get started with canned versions of some of the stuff you need to roll. Other things mentioned include that Native.js is for NativeScript and that Squirrel runs Electron apps in the background, behind the scenes, in lieu of overtly like a desktop app, should you need the Electron equivalent of a console app or a Windows service I suppose. I really enjoyed the AngularMix conference. It was fun.
