concatenation with plus symbols in T-SQL

Well, it can be easy if you are just working with varchar types:

SELECT FirstName + ' ' + LastName As Name, Birthday
FROM Whatever

 
 

Otherwise you may need to convert to varchar types:

SELECT CONVERT(varchar(10),SuccessPercentage) + '%' As SuccessRate, Birthday
FROM Whatever
