capital and lowercase Zs in datetimes

tell you that this date is in UTC time with no offset or report the offset respectively

YYYY-MM-ddTHH:mm:ssz ...is... 2016-12-01T00:00:00-6
   
YYYY-MM-dd HH:mm:ssz ...is... 2016-12-01 00:00:00-6
   
YYYY-MM-ddTHH:mm:ssZ ...is... 2016-12-01T00:00:00Z
   
YYYY-MM-dd HH:mm:ssZ ...is... 2016-12-01 00:00:00Z

You may need to use a T if you can't have a space. T is a time designator.
