This seems to be the way to do Angular UI Grid beyond AngularJS in modern Angular. This suggests you cannot really get Angular UI Grid to run in Angular 2+ without a rewrite of it. npm install angular-slickgrid is probably the way to install this new thing. What is more, npm install angular-ui-grid is probably the way to install the old thing.
