Sometimes Google Chrome will be zoomed to 100% yet appear and behave as if it is zoomed to 125% in Windows 8!

To fix:

1. right-click in the desktop and then pick "Personalize"
2. at the lower left of the window which appears click "Display"
3. you will now be at a window which has "Change the size of all items" at the top and herein you should click "Custom sizing options"
4. the "Custom sizing options" dialog box appears where you should change the dropdown to "100%" and then click "OK"
5. click "Apply" back at the window which says "Change the size of all items" at the top
